Laser Treatments

What is it

  • This is a specific wavelength 532 nm that produces a beam of light with this wavelength.
  • The light is fired at the skin and the light is converted to heat energy which is absorbed by red objects.
  • When the heat is absorbed by the red blood it causes the vessel to close down thus removing the vissible red vessel that commonly occur on faces and necks .
  • Some of the light maybe absorbed by cells containning excess pigment so these cells will darken and be reabsorbed by the body over the next 5 days. This improves the continuity of colour of the skin and is extremely rejuvinating.
  • As a chiller and gel are applied, this is quite comfortable treatment, but anaesthetic cream can be applied if required.
  • Due to heat being applied to the skin, there may be swelling the next day. This settles with the application of ice.
  • Who can it help

  • This process improves the colour continuity of the skin and the texture .
  • This treatment is good for people who have rosacea, poilkiloderma, cherry birthmarks or Campbell de morgan (red spots).
  • What is the cost

  • Patients may need 2-3 treatment depending on the amount of vessels at a cost of $200 per session.
